Western Railway has released a notification for the engagement of 5066 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2024-25. Selection Process:

  • Merit-Based Selection: The selection of candidates will be based on the average percentage of marks obtained in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% marks) and ITI examination.
  • In case of tie in merit:
  • The candidate with older age will be preferred.
  • If age is also the same, candidates who passed the Matriculation exam earlier will be given preference.
  • No written test or interview will be conducted.

Stipend and Training Period:

  • Training Period: The selected candidates will undergo apprenticeship training for a period of 1 year.
  • Stipend: Apprentices will be paid a stipend as per the rules and regulations of the respective State Governments.
